Hydnophora or Horn Coral, possesses an incredibly potent sting, making it crucial to maintain a considerable distance from it. When a Hydnophora colony encounters another Stony Coral (SPS), the Hydnophora is highly likely to emerge victorious, eliminating any SPS it comes into contact with. Despite having small mouths called hydnophores, Hydnophora is capable of capturing medium-sized food particles. This species exhibits a more aggressive feeding behavior compared to others and readily consumes small portions of shrimp and other frozen foods.
